For the eleventh issue of our magazine Zevenblad, poetry and visual work can be submitted.

As with previous editions, there is no central theme. Often, the submissions selected by the editors later turn out to share a common thread. On one occasion, the theme was daffodils, and the final issue (10) suddenly featured a series of black-and-white triptychs, including one depicting handkerchiefs. Later, we received a beautiful standalone photograph of a handkerchief, as if it was in the air, that is simply how things unfold. Following an open call, the editorial team selects entries to create a cohesive whole.

Zevenblad is a magazine for poetry and visual art, published twice a year by Plaatsmaken. The design is handled by Werkplaats Typografie. Zevenblad #10 will be published in June in an edition of 100 copies.

The submission deadline is May 1. Please note: only WORD files will be considered for poetry, and JPEG files for visual work. Send your work to uitgeverij@plaatsmaken.nl.
